A new webinar series to #stayathome… and go places

While the majority of our staff is working to rearrange activities, reorganize projects and adjust our strategy according to the present circumstances, the ALDA communication department is also concerned with regards to all previously planned events that were originally scheduled for this Spring season. And since giving up is not our style, we decided to adapt them to the current situation.

This is how our cultural webinar series saw the light: the “Thursday Strolls”.

A Thursday Stroll is a 45-minute online conversation with our “guest(s) of the week” which takes us places, without leaving our comfortable sofa, with an objective as simple as it is complex to achieve through a screen, i.e. to stimulate curiosity, promote information and encourage discussion!

Since the original idea was to hold this weekly meeting in our new offices in Vicenza (Italy), its webinar form was born bilingual, with the alternation of a Thursday in English, the next Thursday in Italian, and so on.

For our first appointment, on April 2nd, we took you to Iran, with our special guest Shadi Rouhshahbaz, International Relations specialist and peace-builder! Together we learnt about the Nowruz, the traditions linked to the Persian New Year and how the present circumstances are affecting its celebrations.

Next in the plans? A Refugees Welcome-themed stroll, our friends from Emoticon - Illustra L'Emozione and... what else?

Join us online to find out! The link is the same each week, access is free and open to all, and no previous registration is required: https://us04web.zoom.us/j/641488739

Step 1: Mark Thusdays at 6:30pm as a fixed date into your online calendar
Step 2: Check regularly ALDA's social media channels to stay updated and discover where we are going to take you this week
Step 3: Save the zoom link above into your notepad or calendar, for it to be handy to enter each Thursday and join the meeting!

Come on, let's get out while we #stayathome!
