Resilience, solidarity and foresight: ALDA members make us proud!
It can never be said enough: ALDA is only as big as its members, as great as its members, as successful as its members.
As it was since its inception, ALDA's main strength lies without doubt in each of its over 350 components; and we like to think that the strength of each member lies in ALDA... which is why, in light of the current difficult period and its complexity, the Association felt compelled to make sure that every single one of its members is given all necessary support to face the crisis.
With this in mind, starting on April 3rd a series of webinars has been set up and conducted by ALDA Secretary-General Antonella Valmorbida and Membership Officer Eva Trentin to talk to all members and, most importantly, listen to them; learn about what they are experiencing due to the coronavirus outbreak; and work together on building a collective strategy for "tomorrow".
With 13 scheduled video meetings divided into geographical areas involving members from around 40 countries, within these first two weeks of existence this special working group has already communicated and joined forces with about a third of all the associations, local authorities, institutions and individuals that compose ALDA's heart. And there's no halt to this crucial plan, which at times has seen even three webinars on the same day!
ALDA couldn't be prouder of its members and of their capability for resilience, solidarity and foresight. Again and again, together we will make it!
